Shedding or Sprouting

It is common for loose fibers to break down and pool underneath the rug. In addition to regular surface vacuuming, clean the floor under the rug. "Sprouting" refers to loose rug fibers that may poke up out of the rug surface. Do not pull these; snip down to the surface of the rug.

Caring for your Jute Rug

These rugs should be vacuumed regularly using the suction only attachment. To remove stains, use a clean white cloth and gently blot the affected area. It is normal for some rugs to have a mild chemical odor when first opened, which will typically dissipate within about 24 hours.
